Bodega Cerro del Toro, owned by the Kambara family, in partnership with Lars T Ugland, a Norwegian shipping executive, it’s a Uruguayan wine project born in 2016 with the objective of producing high-quality wines in a privileged location on the Maldonado coast.

It’s located in Piriápolis, on the northeast slope of Cerro del Toro, in a field of 800 hectares, of which 28 are currently in production.

The winery develops varietal and blended wines, with the aim of expressing its true Atlantic character.

We grow the vine at the bottom of the hill, in a microclimate 2 km from the Atlantic Ocean. There, the roots explore stony soils and the grapes ripen while receiving the cool sea breeze.
